God is at work!

I believe God is at work in the world.  Through mentoring, leading worship, prayer, and deep listening I help individuals and faith communities discern why and how to participate in God’s work of reconciliation: healing, feeding, sharing the gospel, and striving for justice and peace.

I am a spiritual leader who points to Jesus. I am at my best working alongside people that dream big and get things done while having fun in the service of God.

Areas of Practice

Leadership

I exercise my gift for leadership by building trust. I develop vision and direction collaboratively and support the baptized to go and do God’s work.

Evangelism

The mission of the church is to “restore all people to unity with God and each other.”  I help faith communities and people learn to tell their story of how God has acted in their lives.  The awareness of what God has done—and the ability to gently share it—attracts new believers.

mentoring

I believe the key to mentoring is listening to the individual and to the Holy Spirit. Deep listening leads to discerning what God wants a person to do.  I guide the mentees through prayer, listening, and asking questions that deepen and clarify purpose.  I am both a big picture and a details person.

Prayer

The art of prayer is quieting the self so God can be heard.  In both liturgy and meditation, I create spaces where we can truly hear and be unified with God.  My contemplative practice motivates and sustains my active service of God.

Preaching

I am an energetic and impassioned preacher. It is an act of prayer for me, a response to God through word and deed.  I describe the ineffable love of God in ways that inspire people to love God with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength and their neighbor as themselves.

Stewardship/Fundraising

Stewardship is about more than budgets and building programs. It is about investing in God’s mission and ministry through the congregation. Through storytelling, vision casting, and engagement I help faith communities grow in their discipleship through giving.
